Maryland
Cherry Hill RV Park
9800 Cherry Hill Road, College Park, MD 20740This is a nice RV park. Cherry Hill is the closest campground to Washington, D.C. Metro transportation into the city available from campground's office multiple times daily (bus to train). 400 RV and Tenting campsites with water, sewer and electric hookups (30 or 50 amp service), laundry room (19 washers, 20 dryers), propane onsite. Campground website has a video to explain using Metro, one of the country's cleanest public transportation systems. Near intersection of I-95 and I-495.

Mississippi
Campgrounds at Tennessee-Tombiggee Waterway
3606 West Plymouth Rd, Columbus, MS 39701-9504Just off of Natchez trace in NE Mississippi. This is an excellent overnight stop with power, dump station, and nice showers. Half price for National Parks pass holders.
Actually there are seven class-A campgrounds located on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. All campgrounds provide water and electric hookups, sanitary dump stations, playgrounds and multi-use courts, as well as being convenient to boat ramps. Some have sewer hookups. Each site has impact pad, grill, fire-ring, picnic table and lantern post. The campgrounds have a number of sites that may be reserved through the National Recreation Reservation System. Costs for sites range from $10 to $20 per night.

Liberty Harbor RV Park
11 Luis Munoz Marin Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07302Liberty Harbor RV Park calls itself the closest RV Park to New York City. Within sight of Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Open year round. Take a tour bus into Manhattan right from the office. The NY Waterway Ferry leaves from Liberty Harbor and runs Monday to Friday to Pier 11 at the foot of Wall Street. Five-block walk to the Grove St. PATH subway station which goes into Manhattan.
Discount tickets for select Broadway shows in the office. Pets welcomed. Reservations recommended.
Don't expect sites with trees and picnic tables. Instead, expect to have close neighbors and a handy place to stay while touring NYC. Check for Good Sam discount.

Linnville Falls Campground
717 Gurney Franklin Road, Linville Falls, NC 28647A fantastic small campground just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Easy to get and from the Parkway. Its a long way uphill if you are coming from the interstate. Small campground, but a leafer's paradise in the fall. Within miles of Grandfather Mountain, Boone and the Tweetsie Railroad.

South Carolina
Myrtle Beach State Park Campground
4401 South Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, SC 29575-4936This campground offers good shade and is less than 300 yards to the beach. There are nearly 300 sites with water and electric. 66 have sewers. The park and campground are situated between commercial campground that offer little shade while charging more. Camping World is about three miles away. Great place for relaxing on the beach. Fee-based access to the park gives a good sense of security and control. Reservations highly recommended.

Travelers World RV Resort
2617 Roosevelt Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78214When you first approach this RV park the neighborhood doesn’t look too good. However, it was one of the cleanest and best maintained RV parks we have stayed in! There’s a bus stop right across the street from the office where you can catch a bus that will drop you off one block from the Riverwalk and all the entertainment and eating establishments it offers.
165 paved, full hook-up sites also feature cable TV and WiFi. They also we offer several rental units at reasonable rates for guests without RVs. On the San Antonio River.

Wisconsin
Peninsula State Park, Door County, Wisconsin
Peninsula State Park, 9462 Shore Road, Fish Creek, WI 54212Promoted as Wisconsin's most complete park, Peninsula State Park offers 468 campsites, a summer theater, an 18-hole golf course, sand beach, bike trails, a lighthouse and eight miles of Door County shoreline. The waves that skip towards Peninsula's high bluffs enhance the spectacular scenery. Vacationers can see the bluffs by hiking the Eagle Trail, climbing the 75-foot tower or kayaking along the shore.
Peninsula’s five campgrounds (Weborg Point, Tennison Bay, Welcker’s Point, North Nicolet Bay, and South Nicolet Bay) have a total of 468 family sites; 101 are electric. Sites range from heavily wooded to open area, most are just off of Lake Michigan.
Water is supplied by local wells. All Peninsula wells are rigorously tested as required by law. Bottled water is available at the Camp Store.
