Michigan Rally

A summer rally in Michigan? That is correct. Who says Eastern States is afraid to try something new?

What’s different about this rally, in addition to being an “extra” rally, is that it primarily a social rally. As the graphic says, the rally is August 22-25, 2013, Thursday through Sunday.

The rally follows the well-known Woodward Dream Cruise (August 17) and precedes Labor Day. It also coincides with the Chelsea Community Fair in nearby Chelsea, Michigan, the oldest community fair in Michigan. This year a Lumberjack Show will be featured. More information on the fair and all the planned events can be found at http://chelseafair.org.

At the campground, we will offer breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings – pancakes or waffles Saturday only, however. You will be on your own for lunches. Thursday evening will be a potluck dinner. Friday will be a corn roast featuring Michigan-grown sweet corn and watermelon. Saturday evening will be a Crockpot Cook-Off.

For this rally the Colie’s will need reservations and checks from at least ten participating members by August 3, 2013. Please send your reservation to:
Mary Colie; 19560 Savage Road; Belleville, MI 48111 (see the online rally registration form under the Rally tab at left).

Kim Weeks, as convention manager, has asked the Ladies of GMCES to take on the Ladies Social for the Branson Rally. The theme for this rally will be reflective of the origins of Branson’s entertainment industry. We ladies will host the event and provide an opportunity for our GMC sisters to gather and socialize without having to sit in one place for a program of up to two hours.
