The Fall Rally 2009 for GMC East was October 15 - 18 at the Elkhart Campground near Elkhart, Indiana, the RV capitol of the world. Rallymasters were Bob Stockholm and Jim White. Since it was held the same weekend as the Great Lakers rally in Shipshewana, members of that club were invited to be present for Saturday’s seminars. The six or seven that came appreciated the opportunity to observe an ES rally and caught a glimpse of the quality weekend all attendees experienced.
Elkhart is home to the RV industry in the US. There are also many surplus sales outlets in the area as well as the RV Museum. The schedule will provide an opportunity for attendees to make group trips to the various RV-related sites. Elkhart is also Indiana’s Amish territory.
